Nathan Edward Vaughn, 48, of Lansing, OH, died April 10, 2019 in East Ohio Regional Medical Center, Martins Ferry.

He was born February 2, 1971 in Wheeling, West Virginia, son of Margaret Marie Tally Vaughn Thornton and the late James Dale Vaughn.

Nate was a former corrections guard with BECI and recently worked in the heavy highway bridge construction industry. He was a 1989 graduate of St. Clairsville High School; a U.S. Navy veteran of the Gulf War; a past master of the former Belmont Lodge #16 F. & A.M. in St. Clairsville and current Weyer Lodge #541; and a band parent of Bridgeport High School Band. Nate enjoyed camping at Seneca Lake with family and friends.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his baby daughter, Emma Rose.

Surviving are his wife, Beth A. Harris Vaughn; three daughters, Haley Michele, Samantha Dale and Zoe Marie; five siblings, Tim (Jill) Vaughn, Melissa (Mick) Gregorcic, Amy (Brian) Strain, Kim (Bobby) Harris, and Stacie (Austin) Cordery; nieces and nephews, Laura, Justin, Brian, Tanner, Eli, and Etta Mae; several great nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio, on Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until time of service at 8 p.m. Weyer Lodge will hold Masonic Funeral Services and Belmont County Veteran’s Association will conduct Full Military Honors.
