Rudolph Chini, 88, of Flushing, died Tuesday, June 4, 2019, in East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry.

He was born in Lafferty, OH, December 18, 1930, a son of the late Luigi and Pia Chini.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Flushing, and retired, after 38 years, from East Ohio Gas Co.

Rudy was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and a member of Flushing American Legion Post 366; a life member of the Disabled American Veterans and a roll call member of Sampson Air Force Base and an assistant Boy Scout master for 23 years.

Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was his wife, Alberta M. Kitzmiller Chini; three brothers, Clemitinto, Candido and Geno Chini; two sisters, Ella G. Wright and Jeana Chini; and son-in-law, Jimmie R. (J.R.) Arnold.

Surviving are two sons, Mark A Chini and Kris R. (Danielle) Chini of Flushing; one daughter, Lisa K. Arnold of Flushing; two grandchildren, Logan S. and Isaac Chini; one brother, Edward Chini of Flushing.

Friends will be received at Warren Funeral Home, Flushing, Monday, June 10, 2019, from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Frederick Kihm officiating.

Burial will follow in Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing, with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Catholic Church, Flushing Cub Scouts, Flushing Boy Scouts or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
