Lois Jean DeLelles, 83, of Martins Ferry, OH, passed away, Monday, July 8th at Wheeling Hospital surrounded by her family.

She was born December 21, 1935, in Martins Ferry, daughter of the late Hayes and Alice (Donley) Conaway.

Jean was co-owner of DeLelles bakery in Bellaire, OH. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the parlor, watching “Days of Our Lives” and was an avid Hallmark Channel watcher. She loved being Gram to her grandchildren and MawMaw to her great-grandchildren. She was a Protestant by faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Robert DeLelles Jr.; her siblings: Carl, Kenneth and George Conaway, Virginia Hinzey, Mary Hughes, Martha Mortakes, Lorraine McGlothlin and Helen Miller.

Surviving are her daughters: Darlene (Raymond) Zeakes, Linda DeLelles, Marie (Eddie) Burgy, Sharon (Michael) Sadlowski, brother; Bill (Mary) Conaway, 10 grandchildren and 9 great- grandchildren.

In keeping with Jean’s giving spirit, her remains were donated to West Virginia University’s Human Gift Registry in lieu of a funeral.
