Dear Editor:

We are approaching the most important election of our time. I am imploring all US citizens to go to the polls and vote in November. Whether you are a Democrat, Republican or Independent, do your homework. Don’t just vote any party because your parent voted that party. If you are a union member, think for yourself and vote accordingly. Shut off the TV and gather information on all candidates. Don’t trust what the candidates say but find out what they have done, what they believe in and their moral character.

Our country and our freedoms are eroding.

Wake up and look around. Unemployment is still at an all time high, gasoline prices have doubled in the last three years, spending by the government is in the trillions of dollars, taxes are sky high, churches are being attacked for standing up for their beliefs.

Many of the problems in the country stem from the fact that people have turned away from God. People are so self centered that they have forgotten that God has been so good to us and blessed us abundantly.

We have seven months to gather information on all candidates whether local, state or federal.

In our Democratic Republic it is the citizens duty to guard our freedoms with our vote.

I love the United States of America and I pray daily to say thank you to God and I hope you will do the same.
