I had a very pleasant thing happen to me while in the Martins Ferry McDonalds drive-thru. When I pulled up to the window to pay for my order the McDonalds worker said, “The man in the car ahead of you took care of your check.” I didn’t know who was in front of me and I tried to get a good look at him in his side mirror and his rearview mirror, he was in some kind of Jeep with no roof on it.
I waved at him and said, “thank you very much!” He said, “No problem, have a great day.” I asked my grandaughter if she knew who he was?
She said she didn’t know him either. Just when you think there is no kindness in our world someone does something nice for you. I hope he reads this and knows that he made our day and we thank him for his kindness. Maybe I can find him and buy his lunch one day.
Thank you, kind stranger.
