The Martins Ferry Chamber of Commerce would like to thank the following for all their help with our sausage sandwich stand at Betty Zane Days, Aug. 7-11.
First of all thanks to Tom Regis and Mike Reese and their helpers for all their hard work throughout the year putting this event on. They give up family and vacation time to do this.
Next, Thank You to Joe Czuchran and his crew from Deluxe Doors for putting up and taking down the stand and to Brian Dawes from James C. Dawes Company for installing the propane tanks and doing our plumbing and Logan Powell for helping us set up.
Many, many thanks to our volunteers for manning the stand every night from 4 to 10 p.m.: Jeff Keller (Keller Funeral Home): Lesley Link (Harvey Goodman Realtors); the girls from PNC Bank, Kim Strauss and Matt Steele (Steele & Cook Insurance); and Kim’s family and friends, Cheryl and Don Lawson (Promised Land Compassionate Ministry), Paige Williams, Maegan Totterdale, Peri Powell, Tom and Leslie Powell, Jane White, the Jacob Family (Jacob & Sons Meats); Keith and Carol Sommer, Cindy Tirpak, Bob Zilai (Z’s Jewelry), Jim Brown (Christian Village), the crew from Citizens Bank and Dan and Nicole Stephens (State Farm Insurance).
Also, thanks to everyone who purchased a sandwich, hot dogs or a 50/50 ticket and thanks to Aaron’s Rentals for the use of a refrigerator for the week.
