Dear Editor,

Spring is just around the corner and that means that cats will be multiplying like bunnies.

Our organization is called Belmont County Cat Stray Shun. We have spay/neutered over 500 cats in Belmont County. I know this is just a drop in the bucket compared to the overpopulation problem we have in this county. However, it is a start. We will be happy to help anyone who has taken in a stray cat or is trying to spay/neuter a colony of cats and is willing to continue to feed them.

Appointments can be made at New Horizon Animal Hospital by calling 740-695-8387 or Barnesville Vet Service at 740 425-2218.

Your cost for a female cat is about $370 and your cost for a male cat is about $25. BC Cat Stray Shun pays the balance.

The cost will vary depending on the Vet. A low cost rabbi shot will also be provided.

If you are in a position to adopt a cat or kitten, you can do so by calling BCARL at 740-695-4708. If you are not able to adopt at this time, but would like to help with our low cost spay/neuter program, donations can be made by sending a check to BC Cat Stray Shun

P.O. Box 207, Morristown, Ohio 43759. If you have any further questions, please call me at 740-338-9339 or 740-782-1823.

Thank you in advance for helping the kittens.
