Dear Editor,

I think that Mr. Gentile is right on restoring the Homestead Exemption to the elderly and or disabled. It seems to me that the $30,000 Threshold is a little low.

I qualify for the exemption now. But most of my exemption has been eaten up by new local taxes. I think he needs to protect those elderly and or disabled property owner from the public employees. Seventy to eighty percent of all taxes go to wages and benefits that the elderly and or disabled from the private sector can not afford to keep up with.
