Syrian Killings

Dear Editor,

While watching the news about Syria using Chemical Weapons on their citizens the thought came to me. The Syrian Government is killing the innocent and defenseless and The American Government is allowing the killing of the innocent and defenseless. Why so much outrage over Syria, what seems to be the difference? Could it be that America has made it legal but Syria hasn’t. Does making it legal make it right?

There is a lot of arguments over when life begins – here is what the Bible says: Psalm 139: vs. 13/15/& 16 (13). For YOU did form my inward parts;

YOU did knit me together in my mother’s womb (15) my frame was not hidden from YOU when I was being formed in secret and intricately and curiously wrought, (16) YOUR eyes saw my unformed substance and in YOUR book all the days of my life were written before ever they took shape, when as yet there was not of them. Psalm 127: v (3) Behold children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Isaiah 44: (v 24) – Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer and (HE) who formed you from the womb.

Why is it we value one life more than another? Don’t you just have to wonder what our Heavenly Father must be thinking of all of this???
