On what turned out to be a wet, cold, and windy Saturday we had the ninth annual Lloydsville Christmas Parade. The weather did not dampen the spirit of the entrants nor spectators. They gathered in front of the old county garage and shared friendship and stories of the past year and past parades. The parade started at one o’clock with Smith Township fire truck and Morristown VFD leading the way. We were treated to snacks by Christine and Dwight Jenewein and cupcakes from Carolyn Vetula before and after the parade. We would like to thank all of those who came out and participated and watched the Parade on such a dreary day. Thanks to Brian Bethel with his ’63 V W beetle, Kirk Bethel with his ’63 Falcon, Mike Chambers with Smith Township VFD brush truck, Bill Ferrel with 2009 Chevy pickup, DJ, Angie, Jacob, and Josh Williams with Morristown VFD fire truck, Preston Kress and Scott Porter with ODOT trucks, Mark Berry with Kubota tractor and trailer, Brandon Jones with Kubota tractor, Greg Bizzarri Richland Township trustee, Paul Gossett Richland Township Constable, Dwight and Christine Jenewein with Kubota utility vehicle, Dave and Bonnie Callipare with grandchildren Julia, Sophia and Emma in a Ford SUV, Dennis Kirkpatrick on a Honda 4X4, Charlene Kirkpatrick on a golf cart.
I would also like to give a BIG THANKS to Art and Michelle McCort for the use of their garage on a rainy day. Crystal Cavano For helping the BIG GUY get ready, Butch McCort for driving the Santa Float, And Tom Jarvis for being Santa again.
