Gifts for Yanks
Once again, the Businesses and Residents of Shadyside have shown their support to the American Legion’s “GIFTS FOR YANKS” program. This program was started by Eddie Cantor in 1943, and has been continued ever since. It has helped our men and women in Veteran’s Hospitals and Homes, as the program still does today.
All the members of the American Legion Post Home 521 in Shadyside, wish to say “THANK YOU” for your generosity for our recent drive for our 2014 “GIFT FOR YANKS” programs. Also, we would like to THANK all the volunteers who helped make this drive a success once again; mainly Legionnaires, Sons of the Legion and the Women Auxiliary.
