Master Gardeners

Dear Editor:

Belco Works, Inc. would like to offer our sincerest thanks to the Master Gardeners of Belmont County for the donation of their time, talent, and treasures. Master Gardeners assisted Belco Works’ employees to plant our gardens in front of our location in St. Clairsville, as featured in the Times Leader edition on July 12th. Some Belco Works employees were able to take a break from their jobs and job training programs to work with the Master Gardeners to complete the planting, and it was a great experience for everyone.

We appreciate that the Master Gardeners planned the garden to be accessible to all the adults with developmental disabilities that currently work at that Belco Works location. Many of the employees are excited at the prospect of taking herbs, vegetables, or cutting flowers home to share with friends and families. Not only is there a large variety of usable items from the garden, but it has greatly added to the appearance of the location. The talents of the Master Gardeners of Belmont County are so very obvious in the “fruits” of their labor and we appreciate their willingness to share it with all of us at Belco Works.

Sincerely,

Anne Haning

Executive Director
