Another "Tweet" Controversy

September 15, 2011 - Kim Collette
"Just waking up after a late arrival, I've never seen a machine operate like that in person, to see video game numbers put up in person was WOW." A harmless "tweet" from Chad Ochocinco.....right? Wrong. Former Patriort and current ESPN analyst Teddy Bruschi says, "DROP THE AWE FACTOR, OKAY?"

I must admit I've never been an Ochocinco fan. I don't like his reality shows or his antics when he scores a touchdown. And now, I find myself wanting to root for him this Sunday. To me all Ocho's tweet meant was that coming from an organization like the Bengals (sorry to you Bengals fans out there) that what he was a part of Monday night was amazing. Can you blame him for that?

Ochocinco understands that the NFL is entertainment. While in Cincinnati he turned to touchdown celebrations, reality shows and tweets to entertain the fans and keep them interested in The Bengals and the NFL. He had to. He had no other option. From what I have seen this year, Ocho has "tamed" his act way down to conform to Bill Belichick's system. But why should he have to? The Patriots knew what they were getting in Chad Ochocinco when the signed him to play for the Patriots. Don't make him "conform" to "the Patriot" way.

Maybe, just maybe, Teddy Bruschi and Rodney Harrison's "old school"should be a thing of the past. Let Ochocinco be himself and I bet you'd get the player and entertainer he was in Cincinnati.

*Just an fyi, Ochocinco has been silent on Twitter since Tuesday.

Until next time friends!
