Birthday Gift Problem

October 31, 2011 - Michael Palmer
It was my wife’s birthday Sunday. We had a small family get together and the main gift was a new food processor for the kitchen.

She was thrilled and after the cake was served we cleaned off the table and she began to prepare to chop up some garden veggies.

It was during the next phase of the unwrapping that she discovered I had picked up an unusual sort of food processor. Her Facebook explains the event in her own words.

“Ok so I have a very interesting story to tell.

For my birthday I got a new food processor... So since I had picked about 3 gallons of hot peppers today that I would slice and chop them… in my new food processor.

We had pulled everything out checking it out earlier, and thought it was really kool that it had 2 big bowls and 2 small bowls.

When I went to the kitchen to clean everything and put it to good use. Started looking for the motor in the box, on the table, pulled out all the chairs, looked on the counter, even went to the living room scratching my head.

Went back to the kitchen, and looked one more time before I said anything to anyone, because at this ripe old age of "29", the kids do think my mind is going.

I asked, “Someone to come to the kitchen and help me with this,” the results were the same.

There was no motor in the box just a double of everything else.”

That is correct, the motor and base were missing, it had a double of everything else.

I called the 800 number for customer service and they gave me a claim number so I could return it.

This trip I will be sure to take my knife and check the contents before I bring it home.
