Division IV State Championship

Well, the players have been introduced and another great state title game is about to tip off as Worthington Christian meets New Knoxville for the D-IV title.

New Knoxville is showing again why it's ranked number one in the state in the opening minutes of this state title game. The Rangers are up 10-4 over Worthington Christian as we hit the first media timeout.

Well, Worthington Christian continues to battle, but each time the Warriors inch closer, the Ranger hit a clutch shot. It's now 36-29 in favor of New Knoxville in what's been a game of runs. Less than a minute to go until halftime.

Austin Arnett tallied late in the half to give New Knoxville its 38-29 lead at the intermission.

The Rangers have stretched their lead to 45-32 with 4:12 to go in the third period.

The balanced Rangers are heading to the fourth period with a 50-37 lead.

Well, the engraver can start writing New Knoxville on the state title trophy. The Rangers have now got a 61-44 lead as we reach the media timeout in the final chapter. Worthington Christian just hasn't been able to put enough stops together to mount any kind of run in the second half.

Less than a minute remains and the New Knoxville faithful are loving it. The Mighty MAC has struck again. The Rangers are about to hoist their first-ever state championship trophy in boys basketball. It's just a matter of playing out the final 37.5 seconds.

It's a final.....New Knoxville caps a perfect 27-0 season with a 74-52 victory.
