April 13, 2012 - Michael Palmer
To my critics, despite my being the emcee last year, once again the Lucas Sedgmer Memorial Scholarship Annual Sportman’s Feast is being held tomorrow, April 14 2012 at the New Athens Volunteer Fire Department. I am back on the microphone again this year announcing those winning numbers, telling people what to do and when.

Raffles, 50/50, and music by the always wild and crazy DJ JT. He will be taking requests and dares anyone to STUMP the DJ!

Food items will include wild game, fish, chicken and much more. Trust me there is a bunch of food and beer!

All proceeds go to the scholarship program which was founded in memory of Sedgmer who was a standout wrestler at Cadiz High School. Over 25 scholarships have been awarded in the past few years to students graduating from the former Cadiz High School and Harrison Central High School and also yearly to an OVAC wrestler.

It is just a few minutes drive from St. C and despite being a great cause, it is always a good time.

Come on out and join us, rain or shine.
