Peyton Manning personifies class. What you see in his commercials or interviews is exactly what you get. Some guys you can tell they're putting on a false image of themselves in the public eye. However, there's something about Manning that causes you to just know he's not like that. A buddy and I talked early in the season about Peyton Manning's interviews. He always addresses the person who is interviewing him by name. That immediately tells you something about him right there. Most guys don't do that. Not because they don't know who they're talking to, but because they just don't care.
As good as Peyton is with the media, he's that much better with the football in his right hand. Multiple neck surgeries and being 37 years old hasn't slowed him down. He just put forth the greatest regular season ever produced by a quarterback. He's playing in his third Super Bowl and is headed to Canton the first time he's eligible after retiring.
Manning is a guy many root for because of the ability to seemingly relate to him on a more common level than through football.
I am expecting a heck of a game on Feb. 2. Manning will be the difference ... one way or another.
