Reality Check
POSTED:Thu, April 17, 2008 @ 2:30AM
Tribe Fans UprisingIs it too early for Indians' fans to express concern over the team's disappointing start? While reigning Cy Young winner C.C. Sabathia continues to struggle, so does Cleveland's offense which has yet to establish anything resembling consistency. Slow starts are certainly common by all accounts and Eric Wedge's ballclub must be granted a grace period. That said, general manager Mark Shapiro should consider investing some revenue in a few cases of Red Bull or something similar to get his team jump-started. In a 162-game schedule, it doesn't pay to enter the panic mode, at least until Memorial Day. By then, we feel the Tribe will have ironed out the early kinks and be firmly established in the A.L. Central Division. As usual, TL readers are encouraged to offer their opinions.....
