| | Call Out CentralMay 12, 2008 - Seth StaskeyI read a lot of newspapers online each day. Everything from the Columbus Dispatch, Chicago Sun Times, New York Post all the way down to small papers located in the eastern portions of Ohio. Well, I happened to stumble on an absolutely brilliant column in the L.A. Times written by T.J. Simers (See link). Baseball players getting paid a lot of money in a big markets aren't above call-outs and if you don't think so read the column. When words like Tubbo and asking an athlete if they've lost any weight since he challenged him to go on a diet is absolutely brilliant and not to mention funny. These baseball players and any professional athletes are paid for their talents and when they achieve superstar status shouldn't slack off and become complacent. That's how I interpret what Simers is saying. This column was just too good not to share to more than a couple of buddies I sent the email to, so I thought I would pen a blog about it.
