St. John came to OSU's campus in 13 events and find themselves either with points from or still alive in all 13 of those events. Absolutely unreal. Along with the Lady Irish big story from Day one is River High's D.J. Duke who had been chasing not just a gold medal, but a medal of any kind at this level achieve the dream and win the Division III shot put crown with a mark of 60-feet. Bellaire's Megan Green scored in the shot put to lead the Lady Big Reds. St. John's scored points on day one in the 4x800, Lauren Jenkins in the shot put and discus and Justene Delman in the long jump. Action resumes Saturday morning at 9 a.m. with the Division III meet.
