| | JOBKO TRIBUTEAugust 20, 2008 - Robert "Bubba" KapralBill Jobko finally gets his day Thursday, albeit posthumously. Jobko is unquestionably one of the greatest gridders in the storied tradition of Bridgeport High School. After starring for the Bulldogs, he did the same for The Ohio State University. That proved a springboard to a long NFL career, first as a player followed by coaching and scouting duties with the Atlanta Falcons. Jobko's honor comes on the heels of Bridgeport honoring the Niekro brothers and John Havlicek, other former Bulldog greats who went onto excel in the professional ranks. Jobko is most deserving of having the stadium named in his honor. Much like the aforementioned Bulldog trio, Jobko played his way into greatness and earned a niche as one of Bridgeport's legends. Naming a stadium after Jobko is the exclamation on his brilliant career.
