It appears leaders in Bellaire are on the same page in an attempt to getting funding problems in line. Mayor Vince DiFabrizio said at last week's village council meeting that he wants to review the village's table of organization in bidding to discover ways to decrease expenditures while also pulling in additional revenue. That needs to happen. The village needs to generate more income. Moreover, if there is any fat on the payroll, it needs sliced. The administration needs to go further and collect delinquent water bills. Such a move -- if successful -- would yield a windfall of many thousands of dollars. Bellaire is definitely feeling a funding pinch. But aggressive and creative work by village leaders can go a long way in remedying the situation.
