October 28, 2008 - Seth Staskey
The greatest time of the high school football year gets under way this weekend when the Ohio playoffs begin. Locally, eight schools have punched a ticket into the cherished fraternity.

The action gets under way Friday night and continues through Thanksgiving Weekend when the six state champions will be crowned in Stark County.

I have given this some serious thought and I figure what the heck, I will use this forum to make my six championship picks.

Division I
Cleveland St. Ignatius.

Division II
Columbus St. Francis DeSales

Division III
Newark Licking Valley

Division IV
Coldwater (I look for Steubenville to play for  the championship)

Division V
Youngstown Ursuline

Division VI
Norwalk St. Paul
