It's Game Day
January 5, 2009 - Seth Staskey
The talking is done, the preparation is done. it's time for football at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.
The 38th annual Tostitos Fiesta Bowl is this evening and the both the Ohio State Buckeyes and Texas Longhorns are ready to go.
Should be an interesting game to say the least. Not many people are giving the Buckeyes a chance. It's going to come down to the offensive line. The group has been deservedly scrutinized all season and a strong performance this evening could go a long way in erasing those memories.
Beanie Wells could be in an Ohio State uniform for the last time tonight. We expect him to go regardless of the game's outcome or his personal performance. Let's not forget, he's one of 11 children and the money could be too much to turn down.
Along with Wells, 28 seniors will play together for the final time this evening.
It's going to be an interesting game on all sorts of levels.
Personally, I am headed for the stadium at 2 p.m. local time. Get there in plenty of time to set up my computer and soak in some of the atmosphere.
I will be blogging during the game, so be sure to check back in.
