January 5, 2009 - Seth Staskey

I have arrived in my seat in the University of Phoenix Stadium press box. When I was here two years ago for the BCS Championship Game against Florida, I was in auxillary media, meaning I was sitting in the crowd with a table in front of me. It was okay for the fact that you were in the atmosphere, but it was tough to work like that.

However, this year, I am sitting in the front row of the press box. The main scoreboard is at my right and I am five seats from the end.

I am sitting next to Houston Chronicle columnist and Fox Sports Baseball reporter Richard Justice, who is covering the Longhorns.

I was on the field during pre-game and got to run into St. Clairsville High graduate Adam Stewart who is a trainer for the Buckeyes. He told me the team and support staff were flying red-eye back to Columbus right after the game.

The Buckeyes' band is seated directly below me and letting the crowd know who's coming onto the field with "Across the Field" as I am typing.

There's been no appearance from Bertha (The World's Largest Base Drum" or Bevo from the University of Texas.

Should be interesting.
