Buckeye Blues

There are no moral victories in athletics. Ohio State played well against Texas Monday night in the Fiesta Bowl, but did not get the job done. After back-to-back blowout losses in the last two BCS title games, it was refreshing to see the Buckeyes perform at a high level. But a great OSU comeback was foiled by a last-minute drive by the Longhorns, a march conducted minus timeouts by the eventual winners. Thus, another bitter bowl pill to swallow for the Buckeye faithful. The 2008 season harbored great optimism for the Buckeyes. Three losses, however, paint a much different picture.
