| | OVAC Wrestling -- Day 3January 24, 2009 - Seth StaskeyMartins Ferry graduate Gwynne Messenger just belted out a sterling rendition of the National Anthem to set the stage for today's action at the Ron Mauck OVAC Wrestling Tournament. Championship semifinals are in progress. Any wrestler who is on the mat today has earned himself a spot on the awards stand this evening during the finals, which will start at 6:30 p.m. According to our calculations, there are only five weights -- 112, 135, 140, 145 and 160 -- where the top four seeds survived to the championship semifinals. All 14 of the number one seeds are alive and well and 12 of the 14 second seeds are alive. That means it's going to be an exciting round of wrestling at WesBanco Arena and there's still time to get down here. Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article. Post a Comment | |
