School Fix

March 23, 2009 - Robert "Bubba" Kapral
PUBLIC MEETINGS are under way concerning the Switzerland of Ohio school building levy. The building plan encompasses some $88 million. Levies have historically taken a beating in the Switzerland of Ohio School District. But this one is different -- much different. Should it pass, state monies will coming flowing into the district. As a result, every school in the district will benefit. How refreshing that would be, especially for Monroe Central students, who take classes in trailers. Beallsville, meanwhile, is also at the forefront in the need for new facilities. But the beauty is, every district school gets a piece of the funding pie. I see this levy as being the answer to many of the problems in the school district. I believe this is a funding option too good to vote down. The Switzerland of Ohio students have a chance for a new lease on education. The levy needs to pass.
