| | BCS MessDecember 3, 2007 - Seth StaskeyAs I was sitting on my couch Sunday evening watching the ESPN Bowl Special, I couldn't help but think what a raw deal Missouri received. This team lost two games all season and both were to Oklahoma. They defeated Kansas and Illinois, both of which received BCS bids. How does a team go from No. 1 in the nation in every poll to playing in the Cotton Bowl. I don't really understand what went on that Kansas surpassed Missouri. I can semi-understand Illinois because the Rose Bowl sought a Pac-10 vs. Big 10 matchup. I was also excited to see Ball State received a bid to a bowl game, the International Bowl in Toronto on Jan. 5. It's a great chance to see Bellaire High product Nate Davis shine on a national scene. The toughest part to figure out is whether or not the Cardinals' defense can stop Rutgers and tailback Ray Rice.
