| | OVAC EXPANSIONApril 20, 2009 - Robert "Bubba" KapralMorgantown Trinity becoming the 47th member of the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference is a boost to both entities. Trinity was formed in 1997 and is still in the growing state. With seven varsity sports, joining such an expansive conference like the OVAC will quickly aid the school in adding athletic programs. For the OVAC, Trinity brings with it a new frontier and new market as well as hopefully a foot in the door for more expansion. Morgantown High and University High would be nice plums for the OVAC to add in the same city. I like the fact the OVAC is proactive and aggressive, not content to sit pat on an already good thing. I believe Salineville Southern and St. Mary's (W.Va.) would be ripe for the expansion picking.
