Building a future

I commend the voters in the Switzerland of Ohio School District. They stepped up in huge fashion for the cause of education. The much-debated $88 million school funding issue passed with flying colors, grabbing some 3,700 votes while dissenters totaled just 2,600. The hot potato issue was thought to be a tossup prior to Tuesday's voting. The results speak volumes of the district's residents realizing the need for new buildings throughout the district while also understanding that such a golden opportunity will never come down the pike again. I laud those who made passage possible while hoping those against are now jumping on the bandwagon. The future of the Switzerland of Ohio School District took on a much brighter look when the sun dawned Wednesday morning.
