How the mighty have fallen.
It wasn't too long ago that Jose Canseco was one of the premier baseball players in MLB. He then became an author and threw countless players under the bus for cheating in his book 'Juiced', which he later admitted he cheated too in baseball's steroid era.
Now, he's a tough guy. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't cross him in the street, but he's so hurting for money he's become one of the professional losers for MMA.
Let me preface and say, I don't watch MMA nor do I like it. Those guys are really, really tough and then some and really, really athletic, but grown men beating each other up to me isn't a sport. Anyway, that's another topic.
Canseco was embarassed in a fight earlier this week by a 7-foot giant. It was supposedly because he needed the money.
To me, getting into some kind of octagon to fight someone isn't the best way to make money, but it's a quick fix. It shows how spoiled some of these players are. Go get a real job Jose and give up the fighting career.
It's going to be interesting to continue to follow his career, but when he's fighting don't blink because when your eyes re-focus, he'll be on the mat and the referee will be counting him out.
