| | Remaining A CityJune 3, 2009 - Robert "Bubba" KapralST. CLAIRSVILLE city officials are worried about maintaining city status. In the last census, the Belmont County Seat topped the 5,000-population quota for cities, but not by a sizable margin. Mayor Bob Vincenzo is now taking steps and laying the foundation so that every resident is rightfully counted. I like Vincenzo's proactive stance. City status is not a scenario to be taken lightly. Too much money is at stake. The St. C. area is a growing one, one of the few in Belmont County. I like its chances of remaining a city. I like its chanceseven more now that St. Clairsville officials will leave no stone unturned.
