In less than two weeks, the second annual Bellaire Octoberfest will unfold. The festival personifies teamwork and selflessness. Last year's inaugural event overcame some poor weather to prove a resounding success and lay the foundation for bigger and better things this year. A group of dedicated and passionate volunteers have been meeting weekly for nearly a year to ensure an improved Octoberfest this time around. It is heartwarming to see such cooperation in the All-American Village. The committee, despite a need for additional help, has lined up a nice encore performance, including a fireworks show, made possible by joining hands with the Bellaire Chamber. All that needs to happen now is for the weatherman to cooperate on Oct. 10 and for Ohio Valley residents to embrace a fledgling festival.
