Mandated Games

The Wheeling Central at Martins Ferry football game Friday night is what prep football should be in the Ohio Valley. Two great programs, two talented and well-coached squads just minutes apart, playing before a large and passionate crowd. Whether you were Maroon, Purple or neutral that night, it was Friday Night Lights at its finest. OVAC teams should not need to travel 2 hours to play games. Mandatory scheduling was voted down a few years back. I believe it should be mandated. It will give us more matchups like I saw Friday night in Ferry.
