I am happy as the next Buckeye diehard that Ohio State is returning to the Rose Bowl after more than a decade. The Scarlet & Gray partisans should send a big thank you for the man who played a big part in making that happen. He is no other than Iowa Head Coach Kirk Ferentz. The Hawkeyes' boss denied his team a chance to win in regulation Saturday. With just inside a minute to play and a timeout in hand, Iowa needed no more than 35 yards to attempt a potentially game-winning field goal. Ferentz opted to run out the clock, forcing overtime. The last thing you want to do is get into a field goal, field position game against Ohio State. Buckeyes' boss Jim Tressel has perfected that style of play. To no one's surprise, Iowa imploded in overtime, sending the Buckeyes west.
