A Time To Be Thankful

November 24, 2009 - Kim Collette
There is a lot of bad news these days.  So, it's hard sometimes, to keep upbeat and positive.  While "playing" on Facebook a couple of weeks ago,  one of my friends posted:  Instead of our normal status updates, let's post something we are thankful for every day until Thanksgiving.   I thought that was a fantastic idea.  My execution of that fantastic idea however, has been iffy at best.  I thought I would make up for my lazy Facebook posting by blogging about what I am thankful for.

Let's See....

Family:  They are loud, opinionated and sometimes  just a tad insane....but I'm thankful that they are MY family.  We are a crazy Italian bunch but I wouldn't have it any other way.

My Boyfriend:  I couldn't be more thankful to have such a wonderful man to share my life with.  He really is my  "sunshine".  I'm thankful for each and every day we have together.

Friends:  You celebrate with me when I am happy.  You listen to me vent when I'm not.  You ALL are my rocks.  Thank you for always being there!

Ryder:  Ahh....of course I am thankful for my doggy.  He is definitely  my buddy.  I can't imagine life without him.

The Times Leader and Co-Workers:  I am thankful I get up and go to work everyday.  But...more importantly, I am thankful for the wonderful co-workers I have.  You truly are my "work family".  I'm thankful that we all work as a team to get the job done!

Those are the 5 things i'm thankful for each and every day.  Of course, I'm thankful for less serious things: OSU's 6th straight victory over that Team Up North, this season of Grey's Anatomy, vacation days, lazy Sundays, donuts....the list goes on and on, but you catch my drift.

What I'd like all of you to do is post at least one thing you are thankful for.  Ok?  It can be somthing mundane like Coffee or serious like family.   Sit back and think about what you are thankful for.....And....really celebrate "Thanks"giving!

Until next time friends!
