Still On Duty

JOHN DOMENICK is no lame-duck legislator. The Democratic state representative from Smithfield is not allowed to run for re-election due to term limitations. But the former TV weatherman remains passionate about his responsibilities. Domenick is focused on the well-being of Severstal Steel. Several weeks back, Domenick met with Severstal officials about resumption of work at local plants. Since that meeting, both Yorkville and Martins Ferry Severstal plants have gone from idle to working in varying numbers. Now Domenick is calling for a community meeting Jan. 29 at Eastern Gateway College to further discuss the Severstal situation. I commend him. Domenick is no self-serving politician. He obviously has the best interests of the Ohio Valley at heart. I give him a vote to seek a new elected office.
