The tournament is trucking along as the second round championship matches are winding down and the heavier weights are on the mats. The championship bracket has lost a high seed. Oak Glen's Marcus Wells knocked off Cameron's Tanner Whyte at 152 pounds by a 6-5 count. Whyte was seeded third in the weight class.
Thus far, everything else has held status quo other than a few lower seeds getting knocked off. The Patriots are cruising and have yet to have a wrestler lose in the championship bracket.
In case you're interested in the team scoring, Parkersburg South is clicking with 82.5 points, while Oak Glen and Steubenville are second and third with 58 and 53 points, respectively.
