Super Bowl Excitement

January 25, 2010 - Seth Staskey
I must admit that when it comes to the regular season, I am not the biggest NFL fan. I don't hinge on the scores (other than my fantasy team), but I follow and watch the games.

However, the playoffs are a little different. I watch with a little more intrigue and pay even closer attention. Having said that, I watched both of Sunday's conference championship games with a close eye. Both were tremendous games with the NFC game being one for the ages.

Having said all that, I believe for the first time in a long, long time the two premier teams in the NFL have reached the final game. The top seeds in each conference with premier quarterbacks and solid defenses are ready to meet in a little less than two weeks in Miami.

Personally, I don't think the Super Bowl will be as entertaining as the NFC Championship Game, but I think it will be close. I look for the Colts to win, but it will be a 60-minute battle and they'll hold off a Saints' rally. Just be thankful the Jets didn't get in because -- if it weren't for the commercials -- you'd probably head to bed. There might not be a more boring (competitive) team than the Jets.
