| | OVAC HoopsFebruary 1, 2008 - Seth StaskeyThe crowning of the four girls champions in the Wheeling Hospital OVAC Basketball Championship is just a shade over 12 hours away and it's probably a safe bet a lot of nerves are starting to brew. I understand it's just another game, but it's the inaugural championship game and I am willing to bet that the coaches and players suiting up Saturday want this championship more than their next breath. It's the way competitive people are. They want to win all they can. Yes, sectional play is technically more important, but let's be honest, what are the chances of any of the eight teams playing Saturday to win the state title? Slim to none. That alone to me makes the OVAC Championship game even more important. We've said this all along, this event has a chance to be one of the best in the OVAC and we hope that people come out and support it from day one.
