| | Galloway's BackApril 29, 2010 - Seth StaskeyIt's nice to see Bellaire High product Joey Galloway has another NFL contract. Galloway inked with the Washington Redskins Thursday. It was widley rumored from people within Galloway's inner circle that that would his next stop, but the deal became official. I personally believe Galloway can still be a legitimate threat. He still runs like a dear even after 15 seasons in the National Football League. He's also got a quarterback in Donovan McNabb who will be able to stretch the field and in Mike Shanahan's system, this could be a big season for Galloway. Galloway has made his rounds playing for Seattle, Dallas, Tampa Bay, New England and he even signed with Pittsburgh last year. He's got more than 10,000 receiving yards. Not bad for a guy from Bellaire, Ohio who played on a 1-9 football team his senior season. From what I've heard, Galloway had opportunities to enter the broadcasting booth, but his passion and desire to compete still out-weighed everything else. I just saw Galloway this past weekend at a local eating establishment, which he frequents often when he's in the Ohio Valley and he's definitely in shape. Hopefully, this signing pays dividends for both parties. Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article. Post a Comment | |
