Vacation Time - then football

July 28, 2010 - Michael Palmer

TIme for a vacation of sorts. The football tab cover is almost done and the team photos and preview interviews begin in earnest next Friday for most area teams, so I am taking a short break.

I am going to pick up my wife and granddaughter, a bright shade of red by now I am sure, at the airport Friday when they return from Disney in Florida where they have been feeding money into the mega-corparation ruled by the mouse. She will be returning with my great neice and nephew, therefore I will be spending most of my time off as entertainment committe for that rowdie pair of youngsters.

Along the way I will try and catch up on some of the things I have on my to do list for the summer that never seem to get done.

The week is not all play, on Friday Night I am going to cover the TR All Star game, just one local school, but it is the Huskies and Harrison County folks got to represent. Then I have the weekend before a breif Monday evening trip to Cadiz for photo class.

Then off until Friday when I have the Meadowbrook preview interview and photo shoot at the early hour of 8:30 am before returning to Martins Ferry for the Purple Rider team photos.

Then the task of editing all of the photos and Seth compiling all of the team previews,it is a big task but a labor of love here at the TL for certain. Football season is the favorite, not to disrespect any of the other sports, but it is the most difficult sport to take decent photos of and I just like the challenge. Shooting the OVAC game always gets the juices flowing for pigskin action.

Maybe I will jst try and find the hammock I was going to put up in April.
