FOOTBALL!

F-O-O-T-B-A-L-L!  "Football is like life---it requires perserverance, self-denial, hard work, sacrifice, dedication and respect for authority~Vince Lombardi.

That quote is why I love this game!  And....it's that time of year again!  Time to get out your football game gear.  Stadium  seats need dusted off.  Favorite game day jeans need to be dug out of the closet.  It's time to find that "good luck" hat.  I'm getting excited just thinking about it! 

I can't wait  to "smell" football.  The grass.  The air.  The fear.  Everything!Everything just smells better during football season.

I can't wait to "hear" the game.  The clashing of the helmets.  The officials whistles (if the penalties are against the other team).  The cheerleaders.  The bands.  The coaches.  The cannon after a home team touchdown.  Everything just sounds better during football season.

I can't wait to "taste" at the game.  The stadium hot dogs.  The hot cocoa.  The popcorn.  Everything just tastes better during football season.

I can't wait to "see" football.  The tackles. The plays.  The first touchdown.  The school colors.  The mascots.  The game.  My team winning!  It's a beautiful sport to watch!

I truly do love this game!

Football season is here!  And it all starts Tuesday with The Times Leader's  tailgate party.  The   annual Pigskin Preview is published in time for all the football junkies to read up on their favorite teams before Friday night's Ohio high school kickoff. 

High School Football Friday Night's are a week away.   I would like to wish good luck to all Ohio Valley players, teams, coaches and communities.  (Especially those wearing Purple!)
