Well, the second half of the Buckeyes' basketball game got a little better, but you never got the feeling sitting there that they were going to win the game.
Anyway, after grabbing a nice dinner at Champs Americana on Olentangy River Road near campus, fellow T-L staffer Rich Gibson and I made our way down to Nationwide Arena for the Blue Jackets vs. L.A. Kings game.
It's actually my first NHL game of my sporting career. I am not the biggest hockey fan in the world. I think it's because I have never really seen the game played live at a high speed. Nailers are fast, but this is another world.
Riding in the car, I was telling Hoot, I sure hope there's some scoring. I don't wany my first NHL game to be some kind of goalie fest. I am sure most hockey people enjoy that, but I want scoring. And, it took only 43 seconds and the Kings are on the board, but it wasn't until after a lengthy review that it was confirmed.
Stay tuned for more of my first NHL game from high above the action in Nationwide Arena.
