Crash Landing for Jets
January 18, 2011 - Robert "Bubba" Kapral
The New York Jets are on a roll. Winning road playoff games against the Colts and Patriots is quite noteworthy. The Jets will be trying to pull off an amazing hat trick Sunday when they travel to Heinz Field to take on the Steelers. I don't see that third straight playoff win coming to fruition. Rex Ryan's defense is top of the line. They will be a formidable test for the Black & Gold offense, especially the Steelers' injury-riddled O-line. I see the Jets' undoing coming under center, with quarterback Marc Sanchez experiencing a major meltdown, thanks to the wizardry of Steelers' defensive guru Dick LeBeau. The Colts and Patriots' defenses pale in comparison to the one the Big Apple men will be facing Sunday. Sanchez can be shaky at times. I look for that to happen early and often against the blitz-happy Men of Steel. This game doesn't have to be close, unless the Steelers' offense becomes turnover happy. I like the Steelers by double digits, punching their ticket to play the Packers in the Super Bowl.
