OVAC Wrestling

After digging my car out and sweeping it off, I've made it to WesBanco Arena some 18 hours later than I had originally planned, but it's a little less than a hour from opening ceremonies for the 58th annual Ron Mauck OVAC Wrestling Championship.

As far we've been told by tournament officials, all of the wrestlers have made their way to Wheeling for what figures to be a long day here at the arena. Action begins at noon with opening ceremonies and first-round matches. Action will then move directly to the second round and opening-round consolation matches. Consolation matches will continue throughout the afternoon. The evening session is still scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. with championship quarterfinals.
