As the winter weather slowly melts away into a warm spring afternoon we here at the Times Leader have been busy.
There have been the usual tasks and in addition there has been a very respectable post-season for many local basketball teams.
We have been preparing for the Spring Sports season as the winter season was winding down and with the beginning of track, softball, baseball and tennis just days away the frenzied pace quickens as the preview comes together.
Many people have asked why I did not comment on the many high profile news items that have passed in the last few weeks, and in reality it has just been a lack of time to get on the internet and put together a blog.
We have a garden at home and plan on expanding that this year, that is also underway as the spring early crops and the green house plants are getting into the ground and pots.
Green is back in fashion and I am very happy to see the colors return after a long and snow covered basketball season.
I am looking forward to soaking up some sunshine while covering the spring sporting events.
I will have a few short days to catch upon the tasks of keeping my computer uncluttered and need to sort the winter photos and trash the photos and files to make room for the next group that will take their place over the next three months.
I have to make some time this weekend to unpack my shorts and sunscreen and wash the spring wind breaker, maybe I should also try and locate my umbrella.
Once again, I think we will have some teams making some noise in the Spring and of course as always we wish luck to all of our area teams.
I enjoy talking with fans, players, coaches and parents at the events, so if you see me make sure and come over and say hello.
