When a kiss isn't just a kiss!
April 29, 2011 - Taste Buds
KATE MIDDLETON is now a married lady and the union has been "sealed with a kiss" or two!
On April 29 she became the bride of one of the most popular men in the world during a fairytale wedding at Westminster Abbey.
The couple was pronounced husband and wife on Friday at as 1 million people packed the streets of London and an estimated 2 billion more watched the televised wedding across the globe.
About 1,900 guests were in attendance, including soccer star David Beckham, musician Elton John and other famous folks.
But Kate stole the limelight when she arrived at the abbey in a satin gown designed by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen. The gorgeous gown featured an applique bodice and skirt and was reminiscent of the gown worn by the late Grace Kelly at her wedding several years ago.
Kate wore her hair down and her veil was held in place by a tiara, loaned to her by the Queen ... talk about something borrowed!
Kate's prince wore the full dress uniform of the Irish Guards and looked very dashing.
The two said their vows as they gazed into each others eyes adding just the right touch of romance to a true modern-day fairy tale.
And, although their first kiss was brief, their encore smooch from a sweeping balcony at Buckingham Palace, brought cheers from the estimated 500,000 folks gathered there.
Just goes to prove ... a kiss isn't always just a kiss!
