THE THIRD annual Shadyside Community Day is just around the corner. A full day of activities is in the works for this year's fest, slated for Sept. 1. THE SHADYSIDE Chamber of Commerce is making preparations for the third annual Community Day, Sept. 1. Building on the success of the previous two events, the big day of events will kick off that morning with a pancake breakfast served from 7:30-10 a.m. at the Shadyside Nazarene Church. After getting breakfast, it's time to enjoy the sights and sales in the area of 38th and 39th streets and Lincoln Avenue, at the basketball courts and near Shadyside High School. One of the biggest crowd pleaser will again be the classic car show. Registration will be from 10 a.m. until noon with the show lasting from noon until 4 p.m. Plenty of classic cars should be around so stop down for a great time. Plenty of food will be available from vendors, so come hungry and be ready for fun as lots of games are slated for the day long event. At the corner of Lincoln and 39th, great deals will be available with the return of the Community Days Flea Market and Craft Show.
